This place is actually great, I usually have a good experience here and often recommend it to people when I can. I cannot say the same for what transpired today. Last weekend I picked up some flower here, only for my wife to realize the following day that one of the products I’d bought seemed to be partially opened with some flower half poking out of the bag. It was pretty clear that it was mis-sealed in production as the entire top that is usually ‘factory sealed’ was opened. Fair enough. I wasn’t able to get back in to see if I could simply get the same product by way of return/exchange.. whatever until the following week as I have a demanding schedule/travel etc. Although I’m sure this is probably some sort of packing malfunction, I feel it’s a no-brainer to not consume something as such that could have possibly been tampered with. The second component of why I bothered making this review however, is another story. Upon making it to the counter and explaining my situation, I was met with nothing short of being spoken to as if I were a child, and this was some sort of outrageous ask lol. It felt like everything was done to put this on me. As-in why it took a week (see above) why I didn’t catch it when being checked out initially (the clerks grab your product and put them in a bag, which is fine) but her failing to realize it would also be a component of their job to inspect things before dispensing them is a bit of an oversight. She explained that she had to go ask management for approval, which is understandable. Upon returning, I was told that I cannot be given a replacement as returning an opened product would be ‘against compliance’. #1 I’m not asking you to return an opened product and re-inventory it lol. I’d imagine best practice would be to dispose of it and re-issue me the same product (which I was told was currently available) in good faith. #2 I’d wager compliance involves not distributing unsealed and exposed cannabis products to begin with right? I was offered a 20% discount, which would be cool if I’d been there to make another er purchase. Of which I was not. I hate to be such a bummer regarding a place that usually have a good experience at, and frequent but that sort of got to me.
