Alaska legalized recreational cannabis in 2014 through Ballot Measure 2, becoming one of the first states to do so. Adults 21 and older can purchase and possess cannabis. The Alcohol and Marijuana Control Office (AMCO) regulates the industry.

Prohibited in public places. Some licensed on-site consumption lounges are permitted. Consumption is allowed on private property with the owner's permission.

Home Growing

Adults 21+ may grow up to 6 plants per person, with no more than 3 mature (flowering) at a time. Maximum of 12 plants per household.
