Tourist RulesOnly North Dakota registered patients may purchase. No out-of-state reciprocity.
PenaltiesPossession of 0.5 oz or less is an infraction ($1,000 fine). 0.5 oz to 500g is a misdemeanor (up to 30 days, $1,500 fine). Over 500g is a felony.
Tax InfoMedical cannabis is subject to standard state sales tax (5%) and local taxes.

How to Get a Card

Patients must be certified by a North Dakota physician and register with the Department of Health and Human Services.
