I usually do pick-up orders as a caregiver for a patient. Overall, I have had wonderful and positive experiences with the staff here while picking up my orders. Today, though, was a complete 180 compared to what I was used to. When I put my ID card up to the doorbell, I didn’t hear any verbal confirmation they had seen my card and I did not hear the door unlock. I rung again, thinking they may be busy and there wasn’t anyone up front right away. I did not hear a response through the doorbell again, but I heard an extremely muffled scream of some sort come from inside. I pulled on the door and it did not open. Shortly after, an angry employee opened the door and yelled “this door has been open for five minutes!” This was not true, as I had only been standing outside maybe two minutes at the most. I apologized and told him that I did not hear him over the doorbell and when he had yelled through the door it was incoherent and the door wasn’t unlocked. He said “yeah right.” and kept an annoyed attitude with me. As I waited to be taken back, I could hear him complaining about me with another staff member. I was taken back by an employee I had dealt with before who is always lovely and personable, she is so sweet! But today she did not say much to me and was very quiet. I’m not sure if I also had upset anyone else during this visit, but I did not feel welcome here today. The patient I pick up for and I discussed possibly using a different dispensary in the future. It is a shame, this one is close to their house and we have had wonderful interactions otherwise. I empathize if the employee was having a bad day, but to yell at me is completely unprofessional. Your doorbell’s audio was either broken or turned down. Please be kinder to people. edited to add: we have not been back to Fluent since the employee screamed at me and don’t really have any plans to return unless there is absolutely no stock at other local dispos for my patient. I can’t imagine if the employee had acted like that towards someone who is hard of hearing, disabled, or otherwise differently abled than him. Every other employee was wonderful at this location. Kindness and awareness matter.
