Melvin was great and helpful and security guard was very friendly however checkin girl was about as friendly as a doorknob. Surrounded by pictures of sweet animals, she never smiled, you could barely hear her and her tone was neither welcoming nor friendly. ABSOLUTELY WRONG PERSON TO HAVE GREETING PEOPLE AT THE DOOR!!! I continue to be baffled by the snottiness and general rudeness of some of the employees hired by Gleaf considering the amount of money we, the customers, spend there- which pays their wages- and how often we frequent the place and tip them. But I guess they are entitled millennials and no one has corrected them or given them a reality check.

I walked in excited and walked out annoyed. The front desk interaction was cold and dismissive from the start, with full “I do not want to be here” energy. I was also told that my valid medical card and ID weren’t enough to get me entered into the system, with little explanation and no real effort to help resolve the issue. For a medical dispensary, this lack of guidance and basic customer care is disappointing. The process should feel supportive and straightforward, not confusing or frustrating.

DONE with this location, every single time I come here the lack of workflow is ASTOUNDING. If I place a preorder, I should not be required to stand in line behind people who decide to take three hours to looks through the menu, (WHICH IS AVAILABLE ONLINE WOW) either require preorders, or open a lane for just preorders. Another issue is the drive through being conned off, if I place a preorder I should have every right to use to drive thru, not to mention the lack of accessibility for the elderly or disabled. I have been coming to Gleaf since it was just the downtown location, and I will be going back there, considering the two years I solely visited that location I NEVER had the issues i've had with short pump these past few months, very disappointing. from someone that works in pharmacy PLEASE improve your workflow. unbelievable.

Giving two stars for the kindness of the bud tenders. It is not their fault the location is having consistent issues with staffing. I would have given one star simply because this is the ONLY gleaf location consistently closing early or opening late. I have been to all of the metro locations and locations in Norfolk. Every other location is organized and adheres to their stated business hours. These issue started happening over summer and it is very disappointing because this is a medical dispensary. Every patron attending this establishment is a medical patient. For example, today I received an email at 8:30 am stating the location would be open late at 10:30 am. Then another email at 11:00 am stating the location would be closed for the day. This establishment is no different than any other pharmacy. I am highly disappointed with the constant closures with little to no notice. If you live in the area do yourself a favor and just go to Cary Street.

It was my first time coming here and I was a little nervous. However, the staff were amazing and the environment was nice. Matthew was very helpful, informing me of every option for my medical needs. He listened and gave advice, told me different expectations, and made me feel welcome. Five stars for this place. My only wish is for them to get more bud options.
