This place is not good people. Walked in there asking for a hybrid, said that daze off hybrid was good and that I wouldn't mind anything infused but a hybrid. The lady told me she had something that was hybrid just diffrent brand, so I told her ok ill try it out. They make you pay before you can see the product, then after you pay, she went to back to grab the receipt and handed me product with receipt and I never even seen the container of the thing just receipt and product and you pay before. MY RECEIPT SAYS PRODUCT WAS (H) FOR HYBRID AND SHE GAVE ME INDICA PRODUCT. NEVER AGAIN $100 DOWN THE DRAIN. Dont worry about customer id I will never come there ever again.

As a person who does my own growing and is very particular about strains, effects, terps, etc. My travels since IL legalized have taken me all over the Chicagoland area in search of certain things. After my visit here (first time) , I can say with confidence that I will never go anywhere else again. This is hands down the best dispensary around. Crew was super kind, my budtender Able was extremely knowledgeable, not only about strain affects but also on how to lessen the load on my wallet. Says a lot about Able and clearly ownership/management. If you’re ever in the area or even if you’re not and you just need a good dispo to make it your go to. I promise you, this place will not disappoint. Excellent job Starbuds HE! Looking forward to a long relationship. Thank you!

I came in today to ask if they accepted photo ID to which he replied no which was fine but his response that followed was extremely rude and unwelcoming. He could have just said no and left it at that but he proceeded to tell me to move out of the way in a very rude tone towards me when I was already to the side and about to head out. He was also making my friend feel extremely uncomfortable with how he was looking at her. I have been to many other dispensaries and not one have treated me like this. I have been greeted with respect and kindness and was put off by this guys attitude. the way he acted towards me and my friend has ruined my experience with this store and I will not be coming back. I came at 4:50pm December 24th 2025. It was the security worker on shift at that time.

I had such a great experience at Star Buds Dispensary. The dispensary itself has a really nice setup—it’s easy to see a wide variety of products, and the atmosphere feels much more welcoming and relaxed compared to the medical shops I usually go to. Kacey is hands down my favorite budtender…and let me tell you, I typically go once a week and have met a lot! She was super friendly and welcoming, never rushed me, and genuinely took the time to help. What really stood out was how knowledgeable she is—she truly knows her stuff. We talked about terpenes and how they can be even more important than just THC percentage, which I really appreciated. I’m so glad I stopped in and gave this adult-use shop a try. Between the great layout and Kacey’s excellent customer service, I’ll definitely be coming back!

Love Star Buds - Hoffman Estates. Very clean establishment, bright w/ tons of flower, vap, carts, edibles, pre-rolls etc. Todd is my go-to, extremely pleasant and very knowledgeable about any and all products which is AWESOME. He's willing to work w/ you to find the best possible product for the results you want. I went there specifically for the ROVE cartridges (one of the only places that sells this line extensively). I nabbed (2) .5g of Granddad Purp (Indica) for sleep a Blue Dream (Hybrid-Sativa) to get me through the day. Highly recommend A++++++ go visit them as they've always got deals going on as well. D.
